A fire late Monday night destroyed an unoccupied trailer at Lake Merwin Camper’s Hideaway.
Crews from Clark County Fire District 10 responded to the blaze, reported at about 11:30 p.m. after a neighbor woke up to the sound of the fire, said agency Fire Chief Sam Arola.
When firefighters arrived, they found that the trailer and a nearby shelter containing a fiberglass boat, heavily involved in flames, Arola said. The trailer had pretty much burned to the ground and the fire had spread to some nearby grass, Arola said.
Nine personnel, including two engines and two tenders, responded to the scene and crews quickly put out the blaze and stopped the brush fire from spreading.
No one was home at the time of the blaze and no injuries were reported, Arola said.
