The Washougal Police Department is investigating after a man’s body was found on railroad tracks running through town Saturday morning.
A westbound BNSF train notices the body and called 911 shortly before 7 a.m. The police said officers discovered the body on the tracks, between 20th and 24th streets.
Police described the man as white and in his 20s. His identity wasn’t released pending notification of next of kin.
No foul play is suspected, the police said, adding the Clark County Medical Examiner’s Office will investigate to find how the man died.
The investigation halted train traffic for about three hours.
