Clark County – The Washington State Community Economic Revitalization Board on Thursday approved $2,353,500 for public infrastructure projects. Of that, $2,050,000 will be spent in Clark County.

The Port of Camas-Washougal received a $1.7 million loan and a $300,000 grant to build a 50,000-square-foot metal pre-fabrication building in the Steigerwald Commerce Center. An estimated 70 jobs will be created by the project, according to a news release.

The Port of Ridgefield will receive a $50,000 grant for a facility study for Dark Fiber Optics, a proposed project that would construct a fiber optic broadband loop around the Ridgefield Port District.

Projects in Cowlitz, Douglas and Whitman counties also will benefit from grants, including a $22,500 grant to the city of Woodland for a downtown facade improvement plan.
