Father Blanchet Park — The Fort Vancouver Lions Club has teamed up with Evergreen Habitat Humanity to help build Humanity’s McKibbin Commons affordable housing development. The Lions will use the construction as part of their centennial service to the community, as Lions Clubs International’s 100th anniversary is in 2017, and clubs throughout the country will celebrate. The two groups met recently to discuss plans for how the Lions will help next year, and so they could go over building plans for the 10-home development.
