Ambulances reportedly transported several people to the hospital Tuesday night following a multi-vehicle crash on state Highway 14, one of three traffic incidents around the same time and on the same stretch of road. Traffic heading west was blocked for some time.
The three incidents — a relatively minor crash, a vehicle fire and a multi-vehicle crash — all occurred around 6:30 p.m., according to dispatch logs, and were on the stretch of highway west of Interstate 205 to downtown Vancouver.
According to emergency radio traffic monitored at The Columbian, a handful of people were hospitalized after the larger wreck, which, according to Washington State Patrol dispatchers, involved five or six vehicles.
