Due to the cold weather, additional emergency homeless shelters are open in Vancouver through the weekend.
• The day center at 1600 W 20th St. is open 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily and is open overnight today. It’s closed Sunday.
• The former Rise & Stars Community Center at 500 Omaha Way will be open 8 p.m. to 8 a.m. through the weekend as staffing allows.
• Homeless people seeking shelter can call the Housing Solutions Center at 360-695-9677 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. today and Sunday. If below-freezing weather continues on Monday, emergency shelters may open that day as well.
