Digital learning program focuses on empowering youth

Fircrest -- The Salvation Army in Vancouver is one of 200 after-school programs launching the Salvation Army Digital Learning Program. The program, presented by Target, is focused on empowering youth with meaningful and critical skills to improve their lives and their community. Developed in partnership with education technology company EverFi, courses will include lessons on financial literacy, civic engagement, STEM readiness, and health and wellness. The program features eight different courses for kids in grades K-12."This partnership will enable our staff to provide enriching, quality-driven education to families that need affordable after-school programs," said Lt. Susan Cassin, S.A.Y. Klub afterschool program director at the Salvation Army in Vancouver. "Educational programming paired with innovative technology helps children with skill deficiencies reach their full potential," said Tom Davidson, EverFi CEO. "We're honored at the opportunity to work with the Salvation Army and Target to help children in Vancouver reach their full potential."
