The Clark Regional Emergency Services Agency, the county’s emergency planning and 911 agency, is asking residents to complete a survey on disaster readiness and other topics to help with the organization’s countywide disaster planning update.
The Clark Emergency Services Agency is heading a multi-jurisdiction effort to update the county’s hazard mitigation plan, which is part of larger strategies for dealing with large-scale disasters and limiting the damage done, the agency said.
For the plan, emergency managers want to get a sense of resident’s opinion, experience and knowledge of natural hazards, the agency said, prompting the survey.

Regular updates to the plan are required in order to be eligible for some federal grants, according to CRESA.
Every town and city in the county is participating in updating the plan, as are Clark Public Utilities, the Port of Vancouver, C-TRAN, Clark County, Clark Regional Wastewater District, Fire District 3 and four school districts.
