Rose Village: A 110,000-stitch latch-hook wall hanging of "The Last Supper" created by Don Miller in 1985 now hangs in Memorial Lutheran Church.

Rose Village -- A latch-hook hanging of "The Last Supper" completed in 1985 and hung for years at both Trinity Lutheran Church and St. Paul Lutheran Church in Vancouver has found a new home at Memorial Lutheran Church. The piece was created by Don Miller. He worked on it for more than two years, and the final product has 110,000 stitches and is 6 1/2 by 10 1/2 feet in size. Upon completion, Miller and his work was even featured in The Columbian. In 2013, Miller passed away at the age of 88, and his friend and Memorial Lutheran parishioner Richard Rowe inherited the piece. "When I mentioned it to the Memorial Lutheran Church council, they were interested in displaying it," Rowe said. Rowe said he is happy to have found a permanent home for his friend's work and that the community will be able to view it.
