A ninth grader at Skyview High School was arrested after making a false bomb threat that evacuated the school, according to the Clark County Sheriff’s Office. Deputies received a 911 call at 10:17 a.m. Tuesday from a Skyview student reporting that he had knowledge that a bomb had been placed at the school, the sheriff’s office said. The school was evacuated as a precaution and the agency’s bomb squad was summoned, who searched the school but found nothing suspicious. Investigators further question the student, who eventually admitted the call was a prank. The student was arrested on suspicion of making a bomb threat and disruption of school activities and booked into the Clark County Juvenile Detention Center. Students were returned to class and no injuries were reported. Parents of students were notified of the incident by Vancouver School District.
