A Vancouver man accused of setting fire to a fence and house in July pleaded guilty Friday to second-degree arson.

Court records say Aaron L. Chambers, 34, drove to a home in the Image neighborhood July 22, left his vehicle with some sort of bottle in hand, splashed a liquid on the fence and house, then set it on fire.

A woman and her three young children were home at the time, according to court records. No one was injured, but the fire did about $2,155 in damage.

Chambers’ sentencing was set for May 19.

Chambers has no significant criminal history, attorneys said in court, and the standard sentencing range for second-degree arson is three to nine months.
