The Vancouver driver who turned in front of a vehicle on Mill Plain Boulevard last week, causing a head-on crash that injured five people, has been cited, according to the Vancouver Police Department.
Devonna R. Gonzalez, 31, was cited for suspicion of failing to yield the right of way and not having insurance, Vancouver police spokeswoman Kim Kapp said.
Gonzalez was behind the wheel of a Honda sedan traveling west on East Mill Plain Boulevard on Wednesday morning, Kapp said. Gonzalez turned left onto North Devine Road and collided with an eastbound Ford Explorer, Kapp said. The Explorer continued on into an unoccupied bus stop.
Gonzalez and her two juvenile children were taken to a hospital and all of them have since been released, Kapp said.
The driver of the Explorer, Garrett J. Farmer, 37, and his passenger, Grace Farmer, 64, of Vancouver, were also taken to an area hospital, where they were treated and released.
