The Classic Wines Auction awarded Metropolitan Family Service $361,371 — a chunk of the $3 million raised during this year’s auction. Metropolitan Family Service is a Portland-based nonprofit that helps people in Portland and Southwest Washington move out of poverty.
Gifts for five other charities will be announced later this month, including a gift for YWCA Clark County. Since starting in 1982, the Classic Wines Auction has raised nearly $40 million for charities.
