A man with a gunshot wound to his face reportedly arrived at the Washougal police station Wednesday night seeking help, according to emergency radio traffic monitored at The Columbian.
Ambulance responded to the station around 7:40 p.m. to a report of someone with a gunshot wound, according to county dispatch logs.
Washougal police Sgt. Thad Eakins said the man did show up at the department that evening, but that the department had little information to share since the incident was going to be a Skamania County Sheriff’s Office investigation.
The man was taken to the hospital. Radio traffic indicated the man was from Skamania County, and whatever happened apparently happened there.
Eakins said it appeared the man would survive his injuries.
