Two men who reportedly burglarized an occupied west Hazel Dell home claimed to be police, according to the Clark County Sheriff’s Office.
A woman was home alone about 5:45 a.m. Wednesday when two men, whom she did not know, forced entry into her home, the sheriff’s office reported. The address of the residence was not released.
The men forced entry from the exterior of house. When they attempted forced entry into the bedroom, they made some indication to the victim that they were the police, Major Crimes Sgt. Todd Barsness said. The woman was not injured.
The suspects stole some electronics and some banking information before fleeing.
Deputies responded to the 911 call and searched the area but did not locate the men responsible; however surveillance equipment captured photos of the suspects.
Anyone with information on the incident or the identity of the suspects is asked to call Detective Scott Kirgiss at 360-397-2028.
